Description

Sgt. Kathleen Cain served in the Women's Army Corps, a branch of the United States Army. She was stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Cain married Capt. Charles L. Hobbs at the base chapel on March 24, 1945. Her cousin Pete Kuhlhoff, a magazine editor in New York, gave away the bride. Kathleen Cain was attended by Wathena Temple, of Watonga, Oklahoma. Temple later became head of the Department of Home Economics at East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas.
