Description

Four photographs of crew pointing out damage to plane. Undated newspaper clipping describing damage: "An airplane called `Wild Wolf" still comes in for more than its share of the spotlight when the boys get to shooting the bull. `That was the most shot up plan I ever saw,' said M-Sgt Bill Craft ,Wisconsin. 'The hydraulic system was gone which meant no flaps or brakes all the turrets were shot out one rudder and the elevator trim tab were blasted. The right side of the nose section got four direct hits by 20 mm cannon shells, the radio system was gone, one engine was shot out, and another one was running out of gas. And there were about 200 flak holes in the wings and fuselage but we got her ready to fly again in a few weeks."
